Sunday Morning Live Stream Worship Service begins at 10:00 AM
Please join us for our live-stream service here on our website at: umcnorthchili.org.
We have phased in to in-person worship services.
We are being mindful of not only State and Church regulations, but the health and safety
of our congregation and community members.
We are able to have up to 40 members attending.
We are using a phone-in registration. Please call or text Kathy K at 585-410-4253
to register each week. If you have any health issues please join us for the Live-Stream service.
Upon entering Attendees will be answering Covid-19 questions, have temp. taken,
must wear a mask (properly covering nose & mouth) the entire time they are here, use Hand sanitizer, respect social distancing protocols. Despite vaccinations you will still be required to wear a mask while you are here.
Seating will be limited to marked pews only. We are refraining from singing, but feel free to hum along with our soloist.
We believe we can still have a meaningful service with an uplifting message!
Collection Plate is available upon entering, but will not be passed.
Please wait for the ushers to dismiss your pew before trying to leave.
Please refrain from hugs, hand shakes, or lengthy conversations in the hallway.
The Bible is the foundation of our worship.
The scripture for our service generally follows the Lectionary calendar.
The theme each week focuses on how we can apply the text to our daily lives.
From our Tuesday Bible study to our Children's message to our Sunday Sermon, we tie the theme together.
We hope you will find us to be inviting, inspiring and welcoming even through Virtual Worship!
We are a denomination that is committed to spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ worldwide.
We believe in one God in three forms, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
A typical Sunday service consists of announcements about church happenings,
hymns, prayers, choir anthem, joys and prayers of the people,
a sermon and more song. There may be laughter, chimes, and passing of the peace!
Children are invited to attend services or head to the Nursery during service.
September through June they may wish to participate in a class.
We are blessed with talented musicians who lead us in a variety of musical styles.
Nursery care for infants and toddlers is offered during every worship service,
and the service may be heard in the nursery.
The dress is casual but nice.
Following worship all are invited to the fellowship hall for a casual time to visit over coffee and snacks.
During this time of the Pandemic we must forego coffee hour and fellowship time.
We are a safe sanctuary church, protecting our children, youth and vulnerable adults.
When we can get back together we will provide:
Holy Communion is celebrated the first Sunday of the month, and on special occasions.
Ours is an open table for all. Gluten free is available.
We baptize infants, children and adults.
There are Sundays that are especially appropriate for this, but any Sunday can be arranged.
Confirmation class for youth in 6th grade and up is held every other year.
