Sunday Morning Live Stream Worship Service begins at 10:00 AM
on our website at: umcnorthchili.org.
Worship service at 10:00 am
As we hold in-person worship services, we are mindful of the health and safety
of our congregation and community members. We realize some individuals may
continue to wear a mask in public. We encourage the use of the hand sanitizer in the front hall.
If you have any health issues please join us for the Live-Stream service.
The Bible is the foundation of our worship.
The scripture for our service generally follows the Lectionary calendar.
The theme each week focuses on how we can apply the text to our daily lives.
From our Tuesday Bible study to our Children's message to our Sunday Sermon, we tie the theme together.
We hope you will find us to be inviting, inspiring and welcoming even through Virtual Worship!
We are a denomination that is committed to spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ worldwide.
We believe in one God in three forms, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
A typical Sunday service consists of visual announcements about church happenings,
hymns, prayers, choir anthem, joys and prayers of the people,
a sermon and more song. There may be laughter, lovely music, children and more!
Children are invited to attend services or head to the Sunday School/Nursery during service.
We are blessed with talented musicians who lead us in a variety of musical styles.
Nursery care for infants and toddlers is offered during every worship service.
The dress is casual but nice.
Following worship all are invited to the fellowship hall for a casual time to visit over coffee and snacks.
Coffee hour and fellowship time will be a combination of prepackaged snacks, homemade goodies,
and coffee, tea and water available. We celebrate Birthdays the first Sunday each month.
We are a safe sanctuary church, protecting our children, youth and vulnerable adults.
Holy Communion is generally celebrated the first Sunday of the month, and on special occasions.
Ours is an open table for all. Gluten free is available.
Communion: Servers will hand out a piece of bread to dip in the Communion Cup.
You may come forward without partaking by crossing your arms and will receive a blessing.
If you would like the servers to come to you in the pew, please tell the Usher.
Baptism
We baptize infants, children and adults.
There are Sundays that are especially appropriate for this, but any Sunday can be arranged.
Confirmation Class
Confirmation class for youth in 6th grade and up is held every other year.
