Prayer for Understanding (from Psalm 139): (Unison)
O LORD, search us… know us… be acquainted with all our ways. Your knowledge is too wonderful for us; it is so high that we cannot attain it. When we’ve said, "Surely the darkness shall cover me, and the light around me become night,” we give thanks. For even the darkness is not dark to you; the night is as bright as the day, for darkness is as light to you. Help us to become all flame—from you, the Light who gives understanding, wisdom, and patience. Amen.
