Entrance & Call to Worship: |
Come and let us drink in this refreshing new day!
Yes, this new moment our Creator has fashioned in loving kindness! A day brimming with the hope that comes from Jesus Christ, who rescued our spirits from fear of death. So we may sing and praise God through every breath we take in God's Holy Spirit! Let's offer God worship and gratitude with attentive hearts this hour. Amen. |
Processional Hymn:
|
Christ is the world's Light,
Christ and none other; born in our darkness, he became our Brother. If we have seen him, we have seen the Father: Glory to God on high. Christ is the world's peace, Christ and none other; no one can serve him and despise another. Who else unites us, one in God the Father? Glory to God on high. |
Christ is the world's life,
Christ and none other; sold once for silver, murdered here, our brother- he, who redeems us, reigns with God the Father: Glory to God on high. Give God the glory, God and none other; give God the glory, Spirit, Son and Father; give God the glory, God with us, my brother: Glory to God on high. Prayer for Understanding |
Eternal God who abounds in steadfast love, like Nicodemus long ago, we sometimes fail to understand the scriptures. We need the refreshing explanation from the Word, your son, Jesus Christ. Lend us your aid this morning. Assist us in hearing the good news that you love each one of us so very much. Help us to drink in that refreshing news so that our lives may be lived with eternity in scope. Amen.

Hymn: Make Me a Channel of Your Peace |
Make me a channel of Your peace
Where there is hatred, let me bring Your love Where there is injury, Your pardon Lord And where there's doubt, true faith in You Make me a channel of Your peace Where there's despair in life, let me bring hope Where there is darkness, only light And where there's sadness, ever joy Oh Master, grant that I may never seek So much to be consoled as to console To be understood as to understand To be loved as to love with all my soul |
Make me a channel of Your peace
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned In giving to all that we receive And in dying that we're born to eternal life Oh Master, grant that I may never seek So much to be consoled as to console To be understood as to understand To be loved as to love with all my soul Make me a channel of Your peace Where there's despair in life, let me bring hope Where there is darkness, only light And where there's sadness, ever joy |
Prayers of the People: |
Please use the contact form at the top of the page to submit your joys and/or requests for prayer. Your submission will be sent directly to Rev. Phil.
Eternally refreshing Water of all Life, we come thirsty this morning. Parched from the potential panic that pervades our present world. Bring peace to the dear hearts that are filled with anxiety this moment. We worship you in spirit and in truth; trusting that you mind the gap of our physical distance. Bring peace to our hearts when we question whether our presence in spirit is enough to keep us in community. Strengthen the bond of peace that is through the connecting, creatively transforming power of your Holy Spirit. For all the requests for prayer that are mentioned this morning, we give you praise and thanks for being mindful of them before they are even uttered from the lips of our hearts. Thank you for tending to them with grace and understanding. In this week ahead, remind us regularly to reach out to our neighbors, our family, and those in need. Remind us to be the hands and heart of your faithful community. This we pray in the example and honor of your son, Jesus, the Christ. Amen. |
Offering: |
We are so collectively grateful for God's gifts that are given back for use in ministering to the lives within our community-at-large. Praise Him, all creatures here below; Praise Him above, ye heav’nly host; Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost! Amen. |
Prayer of Dedication: |
Refreshing and rejuvenating Giver of all gifts, we offer back to you a token of our gratitude for the life of this community. May they be used to inspire hearts and awaken minds to your love. Amen.

Recessional Hymn: Lord, Dismiss Us With Thy Blessing |
1. Lord, dismiss us with thy blessing;
fill our hearts with joy and peace; let us each, thy love possessing, triumph in redeeming grace. O refresh us, O refresh us, traveling through this wilderness. |
2. Thanks we give and adoration
for thy gospel's joyful sound. May the fruits of thy salvation in our hearts and lives abound; ever faithful, ever faithful to the truth may we be found. |
Benediction: |
May the Lenten Road of God's Peace rise up to meet you.
May the Son of God's Love shine warmly upon your face. May the Reign of God's kindness fall softly on the plains of your soul. May the Spirit-Wind of God's Protection be always at your back And until we meet again, dear friends of God, May God hold you safely in the palm of God's hand. Amen. |
